Yearbooks are here!

Taking after the Lip Dub, this year’s yearbook distribution will feature an eighties theme. The distribution day party will be on May 11 throughout the school day. Distribution of the books will take place during a distribution party in the main hallway. Tickets will be delivered to those who preordered on May 10 through English class. Senior Alyssa Holden made sure to preorder her book this year.

“This year is especially exciting because it’s my last yearbook ever, and I’ll probably cry while looking through it a million times,” Holden said. “I’m a picture hoarder, and I never remember to take enough, so the yearbook supplements my sentimental needs.”

During distribution, yearbook staffers are planning eighties themed music and costumes, as well as giveaways. Senior Audrie Chastain helped decide on the distribution day’s theme.

“I started pinning a bunch of different ideas for the distribution and we ended up settling on an eighties theme to go with the lip dub,” Chastain said.

The endsheets of the book will be black this year, so staffers will also be selling gold and silver metallic Sharpies for signing. Sharpies will be $2 each.

To protect the new book, plastic book covers will be to purchasable for $2. These covers will keep the yearbook from getting dirty or stained from handling them.

In preparation for the book, students should download the Aurasma app and follow the yearbook account (bahsyearbook). This year’s book will contain a lot of videos from the ArrowVision team that will be accessible only through this app. Sophomore Madi Foster has worked with finding videos throughout the Pulse and adding them into this year’s book for different Aurasma features.

“Aurasma adds a lot more depth to the book and let’s us put in even more memories, but in a new and different way,” Foster said.

To receive a ticket the yearbook distribution day party, be sure to order your book now.  Books cost $85 and can be ordered in MN106. If you order by May 10 you can pick up your book on May 11. If you have questions, stop by and ask adviser Ashley Spencer.
