The spirit squads are setting up an assembly with MaxPreps and the National Guard to celebrate the football team on being ranked thirteenth in the nation. This month MaxPreps is recognizing all their hard work with a special award.

“It’s a great honor to be recognized for being ranked this high in the nation, and I am glad our school is putting on an assembly for us,” junior football player Parker Coyne said.

For all their hard work, the Student Council and Student Activities Director Christian Welborn are throwing a school wide pep assembly.

“We would like all students to participate and bring the most spirit possible,” Jonahs Habeck, senior jungle squad member said. “It is a really big award and our team earned our support throughout the season for this moment.”

MaxPreps is going on a tour throughout the country to every high school team that made it on the nationally ranked list. Broken Arrow is ranked thirteenth after their season, and MaxPreps is visiting the high school Jan. 16.

“My team and I are very excited to have the chance to cheer for the football one last time this season, because they deserve it after all they have accomplished this season,” senior cheer captain Brenna Humphrey said.

Make sure to be here this Wednesday so you can join us in congratulating our football team.
