Broken Arrow’s first Spring Fest will take place Apr. 22.  Art students will have their art showcased in the student union to buy and to browse. Students who are involved with music will be allowed perform by themselves or with their group or band.

“I am super excited for the addition of an arts appreciation festival to this year’s activities,” junior Natalie Dankert said. “I believe Spring Fest will be the coolest event of the year and will do a perfect job highlighting the talent of our students.”

Spring Fest’s goal is to show the potential students have when it comes to art and music, especially students who aren’t in art or music classes. The event was created as a way for students into creative outlets to show their work and talents off to their peers, as well as to have another event that wasn’t sports oriented.

“I am honestly super scared, but it is a cool opportunity to showcase the musicians at BAHS ,” junior Noelle Dankert said.

There will be carnival games at the festival as well as a henna booth, student performers, an inflatable slide and face painting. There will also be a chalk art contest at the event. Some art students will have their art on display in the student union.

“Some of the artists performing live music are Noah Schauts, Sebastian Kyler and Kate Walker. Some artists showing and selling their art are Becca Wheeler, Emily Frank and Noah Anthony,” junior Warren Wilkerson said.

Tickets are on sale for the event. Presale general admission tickets cost $8 plus two for the VIP pass, at the door tickets are $13 dollars plus two for the VIP pass. Students with the All Access Pass can get into the event and VIP access without paying. Students with VIP tickets will get to see the premiere of the BA Lip Dub.
