In the upcoming years, Pixar is anticipating the release of several new movies. Some of them may sound familiar, and some of them may seem brand new.

On November 25, 2015, Pixar will be releasing a new movie called “The Good Dinosaur”. The Movie is about a Dinosaur named Arlo that stumbles upon a young boy he soon befriends. Prior to that Arlo gets separated from his family and is trying to make it on his own but finds out it’s quite the struggle. A young boy helps him out and the pair go on many adventures and journeys together.

Pixar isn’t just bringing in those new characters, in a few years they are also releasing another movie called “Coco” on November 22, 2017. The movie is based off of Dia De Los Muertos which is translated to “Day of the Dead”. Dia De Los Muertos is a Hispanic holiday to celebrate friends and family who have passed away. The story is based around a young boy named Miguel who discovers a mystery revolving around the holiday.

Pixar isn’t just bringing out new characters, but they are bringing many back. “Toy Story 4” and “Finding Dory” are on the list of upcoming movies. It is rumored that Bo Peep will be revisiting the Toy Story family in the upcoming movie, which will be released June 16, 2017.

“I wish they would make a sequel to the movie ‘Up,'” senior Samantha Wert said. “All the talking dogs make me laugh so much.”

For “Finding Dory”, it has been confirmed that many characters from the original movie “Finding Nemo” will be making a comeback such as Dory (obviously), Nemo, Marlin, and the “Tank Gang.”

“I’m most excited to see ‘Finding Dory,'” senior Stephanie Gassman said. “She’s such a unique character.”

“Finding Dory” will be taking place 6 months after “Finding Nemo”, and it will be focused on Dory trying to reunite with her family after having memories of her childhood. The movie is said to be taking place in Monterey, California. Along the way, Dory makes friends such as Bailey the Beluga Whale, Destiny the Whale Shark, and Hank the Octopus. She will also be accompanied by Nemo and Marlin on her journey.

“I love the idea of getting to see these characters again.” senior Alejandro Rodriguez said. “I just hope that they don’t change them too much.”

“Incredible’s 2” and a “Cars 3” have also recently been announced with few details.
