For the first time at Broken Arrow High School, senior board will host an egg hunt for seniors to participate in on April 14th. Many students spent Easter searching for the colorful, prize stuffed eggs as a child, and this event will allow seniors to turn back the clock and participate in this competitive activity.
“I’ve always hunted eggs as a kid, so I am looking forward to this event.” senior class secretary Gracie Basinger said. “I’m excited to see everyone have fun together before graduation and college.”
With hundreds of eggs being hidden all over the football stadium, students will get an hour to search the entire site and collect as many eggs as they can. As a prize for the seniors with the most eggs at the end of the hunt, senior board will reward them with huge items like gift cards, microwaves and dorm-sized refrigerators.
“My favorite thing about being a senior is getting to participate in all of the fun ’seniors only’ events that senior board is planning throughout the school year“,” senior class president Alexis Bagrosky said.
After senior skate night, senior board has continued to plan events for seniors to enjoy as they coast through their final year in high school. Some other events that senior board is planning is a senior social/picnic, skit and breakfast. The egg hunt is the latest activity for students to participate in, and seniors can search for candy-stuffed eggs at an event that will include prizes, music, and many other activities.
“The purpose is for seniors to be able to reminisce about being a child and enjoy our last egg hunt before we are officially adults.” senior board member Johna Pulliam said. “Who doesn’t enjoy running around, finding eggs and getting prizes?”
The senior egg hunt will take place at the Broken Arrow Football Stadium at 5 p.m.
