Nintendo’s new planned console creates a unique gaming experience from the living room to anywhere in the world. This new console combines home console gaming with portable gaming, that can be used wherever someone goes
The technology works by a stand that connects to the TV. The stand comes with a controller that has two smaller controllers connected to create the big controller. These smaller controllers can be used to connect a small tablet connected to the stand to create a gamepad. The gamepad is the console that it can be taken anywhere.
Some of the features of the Nintendo Switch include that the gamepad can be used as a screen to play games far away from home. Also, the Switch can be used for multi-player games, because the two smaller controllers that are connected to the screen. It also can use a normal pro controller to play certain games.
Gamespot has said that one of the downsides to the Nintendo Switch is that once it comes out, Nintendo will be discontinuing the Wii U. Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch will not be backward compatible with the 3DS or the Wii U. So gamers can not play their Wii U or 3ds games on the console
Nintendo expects to release the Switch in March of 2017. Early teasers have suggested that gamers can expect a new Mario and a new Zelda game. A new port of Skyrim will be available.
Nintendo is expected to give a press release on January 12 with the cost of the Switch. Early rumors have said that the price may be in the $249 range. If Nintendo follows their previous sales plan, gamers can most likely expect to have the option to purchase a bundle with their Switch.
