This year’s homecoming week will take place Oct. 9-14 and the theme is Disney. There are dress up days and various events going on during the week. Check out the list below to make sure you don’t miss anything:

 

Monday – Inside Out vs. 101 Dalmations

Monday Oct. 9, is the first day of Homecoming Week. To dress up for Inside Out wear your most colorful clothes. For 101 Dalmatians wear black and white.

 

Tuesday – Into the Woods vs. Wreck it Ralph

Tuesday Oct. 10, is the Homecoming Parade. The parade starts at 5:00 pm on Main Street.

To  dress up for Into the Woods dress up like a lumberjack; you can wear a flannel and boots.  In order to dress up for Wreck it Ralph, dress up like a construction worker. You can wear a neon vest with a hard hat.  

 

Wednesday – Disney Jr. vs. Disney Channel

Wednesday Oct. 11, you can dress like babies for Disney Jr. or senior citizens for Disney Channel. To dress up as a baby, you could have a pacifier and wear a onesie.  If you want to dress up as a senior citizen you could wear suspenders, khakis, a vest and a bow tie.

 

Thursday – Moana vs. Frozen

Thursday Oct. 12, dress up as surfers or skiers. If you are dressing as a surfer you can wear summer clothes. To dress up as a skier you can wear winter clothes.

 

Friday – Monster Inc. vs. Monster’s University

Friday Oct. 13, to dress up for Monsters Inc. wear business clothes like suits and ties or professional clothes. If you want to dress up for Monster’s University wear clothes that make you look like a college kid; you could look like a frat boy or a sorority girl.

This is the last day to buy tickets for the homecoming dance before they go up to $20 at the door.

The football game will take place at the Tiger Memorial Stadium. The Tigers will be taking on Edmond Santa Fe at 7:00 pm. The game theme is pink out, so wear all the pink gear you can find.

Homecoming Court will be announced on the field prior to the game, and the king and queen will be named at this time.

 

Saturday

Saturday Oct. 14, is the day of the homecoming dance. The dance starts at 8:00 p.m. and goes to 10:30 p.m. Students can buy tickets for $15 in the Student Union the week leading up to the dance (homecoming week). Student who have an all-access pass can get in for free with their pass, students must have their student ID to get in with an all-access pass. Tickets are $20 at the door.

This year’s dance will utilize more of the campus with two dance floors, as well as two separate areas for those that aren’t to going to dance the whole time. Two entrances will be utilized to minimize lines, and water stations will be available all around.
