Broken Arrow Public Schools (BAPS) and Griffin Communications/News On 6 are teaming up to provide Broken Arrow High School (BAHS) students with real-world opportunities in media and video production.
“This is such a great opportunity for our students and the district as a whole,” said Greg Spencer, BAPS ArrowVision video production manager. “I’m confident that it will further increase interest in our already growing video program at the high school, improve our content and encourage more kids to pursue videography and journalism in college.”
The agreement will bring News on 6 to the big screen at BAHS football games for the pre-game forecast, while students will gain insight from Channel 6 anchors and meteorologists as they record portions of the official BAHS weekly announcement show, “Mandatory Mondays,” from the news studio.
