The AP Club is a club designed for students who are enrolled in advanced placement classes and provides a club where students can interact and share studying strategies. The AP Club is helpful for students because it often relieves stress and groups together kids who are going through similar academic difficulties and experiences.

“My favorite thing about AP Club is connecting with the officers and all the people in it,” senior Kenny Luong said. “The study sessions always have snacks and they are always fun and pleasant.”

Although the AP Club’s meetings vary depending on the activity, they always have study groups meet every second and fourth Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the cafeteria. The AP Club Co-Presidents are senior Noah Mebane and junior Colin Watson and the teacher sponsors are Environmental Science and Innovative Research teacher Donna Gradel and French teacher Shelley Mashburn.

“Being in AP Club provides students with various opportunities to help you excel in AP classes and to minimize your stress,” AP Club President Colin Watson, junior, said “This club specializes in allowing students to stand out in their academics.”

Being in AP Classes offers a more challenging and often extremely stressful amount of studying and homework. The AP Club offers a great way for students to tackle that problem, and has received praise from current and former students alike.

“One of my favorite things about AP Club is how much we focus on stress relief,” senior Natalie Dankert said. “Our study groups are so helpful to have a good working environment and smart peers to help relieve stress and help one another.”
